This project contains more than 387 3D printed parts collected in 95 plates ready with the correct orientation!
The car is available in three configurations:
- stock
- rally pack
- rally livery (4 or 6 colours)

The D3LTA
The D3LTA is a 1/7.4 scale model inspired by the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione 2. It is designed with an unibody layout that provides the mechanical interfaces for the drivetrain. This is different from the common "skateboard" layout used in RC models. This is a reproduction of the real body with an integrated chassis.

Powertrain Layout
The powertrain is made up of two sub-assemblies: the front axle with the gearbox, and the rear axle. The transmission is designed with a special one-way clutch that allows the front axle to disconnect during braking. This behaviour reduces stress on the front axle joints while also simulating a handbrake, making the model oversteer when the throttle is released. The powertrain layout is inspired by the transverse engine of the real car, and this was the main challenge of the car design. The shocks are 55 mm hydraulic shocks with harder springs. Alternatively, 50 mm shocks can be used, but some adjustments are required to set the proper ride height.

Unibody & Interior
The unibody design is optimized for strength and is assembled using screws. To make the assembly process easier, a 3D-printed rotisserie is used to rotate the body according to the needs of the assembly process. There are two interior configurations available: the stock version, with rear seats and carpets, and the rally pack, which includes a complete cage with no rear seats or carpets. Compared to the IMPR3ZA, this model is heavier but built for durability. The suspension is attached to the body with an adjustable connection. By using a special printed tool included in the pack, it is possible to adjust the ride height of the model in a matter of minutes, without any need to disassemble the car.

Testing Phase
The complete project has been tested for 5 months, including the extremely hot summer of 2026. To validate the mechanical reliability, a special testing mule, shown on the left in the picture, has been used since the beginning of the testing phase with the most powerful motor available and ever used in my projects: a QuicRun 3660SL 3150KV. With this setup, it was extremely challenging to keep the transmission temperature below the melting point of PLA. For this reason, after many redesigns, I decided to recommend this setup only with ASA gears. However, the differentials printed with PLA+ (eSun) lasted for the entire validation period without any issues, and I even found some sand inside the housing.

Rally Pack & Livery
The rally pack is available and includes mudflaps, a cage, wheel fans, dedicated door panels, and carpets. A multicolor livery is also available with two options: 4-color and 6-color. For both versions, I recommend printing with a tool changer to reduce filament waste.

Dimensions & Weight
The overall dimensions are shown in the image on the right. It is difficult to give an exact weight for the model, since it depends on the material used, the printer settings, and any adjustments made by the user compared to my recommended settings. However, I would estimate the complete model to weigh approximately 5 kg.
